Welcome to The Vance Family Association Image ArchiveThe Vance Family Association has collected, created, and commissioned a number of images and photographs. Check this page frequently to see new images as they are posted. Coat of ArmsThe VFA coat of arms was designed by member Betty Silfies. Betty and Kathleen Mason started from the Vance of Barnbarroch coat of arms to take advantage of its familiarity. Three stars were used rather than one to represent a connection to the family but not to the main line. "Be Faithful" remains a mutual motto. This coat of arms represents all branches of the Vance family regardless of the name origin, and covers our roots in all of Europe. Vance descendants are free to copy and use the VFA coat of arms. Neither Betty Silfies nor the VFA reserve any copyrights or other restrictions, but attribution would be appreciated. We do ask that the picture not be altered if it is referred to as the VFA coat of arms.
